shopping

I think it's cos Japan are already out of the world cup, that the soccer obento box dinner I bought today was half price. Check out the rice balls with specially cut bits of nori seaweed around them & even the plastic container carries a grass design!

I bought it after a mammoth 2 and a half hour shopping trip after school, at my local Jusco. (Think The Glades Bromley people, but much smaller.) Soon after I arrived, I noticed a new addition- Claire's Accessories. Well, forget my job, that's globalisation for you. Actually just before I got to Claire's, I went into another new shop. They had some nice clothes (am currently looking for cool summer clothes to wear), but all seemed to be labelled M (a British S or XS)! I asked the shop assistant if they had any other sizes, but she said they were all M!! Unbelievable. Well it just goes to show what a homogenous and petite people group the Japanese are- maybe! In Japan, I don't so much go shopping to buy clothes I like, but rather ones that fit. I'm sure I'll appreciate British shopping a whole lot more when I'm back, but at least being here has the advantage of saving- no impulse buys here!
