bowling

I went bowling a couple of nights ago in Sendai. Just thought I'd note some of the funny differences.- When you go in, you have to pay separately for hiring the shoes (apparently it's the same as in the US). After entering names and stuff as normal, a small surprise is seeing yourself on the monitor above the bowling lane. - A mini video camera records you as you bowl & then replays it so you can see what was good/ what went wrong with your technique! Thanks to some helpful hints from others there, I managed to get 3 strikes and score over 100 in one of the games. One of my best ever scores - just shows how rubbish I am usually! Then when the game is finished, you can press a button, and get a printout of the scores, which is cool. I'm saving mine as a souvenir!
