hair

I went to the hairdressers not too long ago & it reminded me of the first time I went there a good while back. It's not too different from England, but certain things can make you chuckle....
Eg the first time I went, I had an 'auto wash'. Being a cheapskate, I believed the automatic hair washing machine would be cheaper than the hairdresser doing it by hand. Anyway, it was very weird having your head massaged and shampoed (?) by a machine that was quite vigourous at times and made you want to wriggle a bit. Plus it felt as if it didn't quite manage to get shampoo/ water in certain areas, like the top of my forehead.
But last time I went for a hand wash as I realised it was the same price. But both times after being towelled up, the hairdresser would say, otsukaresamadeshita: you must be tired; crazy!
Then before you have your hair cut, they give you a top of back/ shoulder massage whilst sitting in the chair in front of the mirror. V nice but bit strange. Then when the hair cut's all done, thinning scissors n all, the hairdresser says again otsukaresamadeshita - you must be tired, thanks for your hard work. Think it's the wrong way round, so I try and quickly mutter it back too...
