You know you're in Japan (2) when...
looking for a Merry Christmas stamp or such like in a stationery section in a shop, you can't find any. But you are faced with display upon display of 'Happy new year' greetings & tools, many featuring the ugly boar, the Chinese zodiac sign for next year.
