Aussies

oh, and while i'm at it on the things to be thankful for,
I'm VERY grateful to Australians - esp a few in particular that i've met over here.
Their laid back helpfulness and comon sense is much needed.

A few weeks ago, Rachelle came round to watch a DVD and have dinner.

She ended up cooking me dinner; feeding me delicious homemade dessert; buying stuff off me; sorting me out & putting up with my whining and constant apologising - and much more besides- thanks Rachelle!

Rachelle & movie & delicious toblerone cheesecake & fruit dessert.

Also, I got an e-mail from some other Aussies today, who I met up with only briefly and sporadically, when they were living in Miyagi. I went on holiday with them, when a big earthquake struck. And was very grateful to have people who didn't mind me sleeping into 10 or 11am or later everyday & putting up with my competitive monopoly playing! That was the only beach holiday I've had since comign to Japan- and very nice it was too. I enjoyed bodyboarding in the ocean during the day & eating lovely food - BBQ/ special spaghetti bolognaise and more - at night. I also got to see the annual Matsushima fireworks & then a few months later, met up with them again for hanami/ searching for sakura - see posts right at the start of this blog.
