off the cuff?

I just remembered a conversation i had with one of my students a few weeks ago. Just in the middle of a lesson, when I was walking around whilst the students were doing group work, a boy asked me, "Do you know Busted?" I said, "Yes... I saw them once." It's funny how a -now i believe defunct- pop band who were booed on stage at our Uni of Durham Freshers Ball, because they were so unknown, could then shoot to international fame 4 years later!
