run run run
Getting ready for a 5k run this morning, I am reminded of the last time I did an organised sporting event - rowing! My preparation is much the same: be under-prepared and not really ready for the event, but try to make up for it by eating pasta 2 consecutive nights prior to today; drink a lot of water; eat porridge and banana for breakfast; and wear lots of layers. (Unfortunately the unmagic stripey socks are not needed today and are still in their drawer in my apartment.) I'm looking forward to the chance to run, but am sure i'll be the last to finish as i haven't really done any proper training. Hope that won't be the case next time round tho!
